Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is known to be a highly metastatic cancer. Integrin-beta-4 (an adhesion protein) is enriched in EV's from PDAC cells harboring mutp53 gene, when mutp53 is knocked out, this enrichment is abolished. In my research project, I aim to learn the role of vesicular integrin-beta-4 in facilitating aggressive metastatic phenotypes of PDAC harboring mutations in TP53 through overexpressed and knocked out ITBG4.
